Braces Braces Braces

Note to self:

Do not have the orthodontist put holiday colored bands on your braces if you are unsure when your next appointment will be.

This post is about braces. There will be no pictures. At least not of me.

I have noticed something kind of disturbing about people with braces. They get made fun of a lot. How do I know this? I will tell you. At the bottom of my page is a tracker that tells me a little about people who look at my page. No names, just the location of their internet provider. I am not sure why I have it on there, it doesn't do me any good. But if someone links to my page from google, I can see exactly what they typed into their google search.

This is what shows up a lot:

Names to call someone with braces

So help all these mean people out and give us some ideas!

Now let's talk. How long did you have your braces?? How old were you? What was your favorite color combo to get your bands in? Did anyone else have black and orange Halloween colors well into November?? (Besides me)

Have you ever been yelled at by the orthodontist for not wearing your bands? If so, did you cry? If the answer to that is yes, how old were you?

This is how I have to wear my bands:

These are not my teeth. But I really feel for whoever this is. Because it hurts.

What new colors should I put on tomorrow? Green and red?? Glow in the dark??

I really feel for you Suzy. Really, people want to know what names to call people with braces? Metal mouth is the common one I always heard, but yours aren't metal are they?

I was 33 when I got my braces and I felt really old sitting in the chair next to kids. I did the colors on my teeth and yes, had black and orange way passed Halloween.

Hang in there! You're cute no matter what color your braces are.

That is funny, it was probably Kelly. And I can answer yes to those questions. Yes my doctor yelled at me and made me cry he would say " Your going to have those on until you get merried". And I would cry amd cry but I still didn't do what I was supposed to (head gear) YIKES! Anyway I was 12 when I got them and 15 when I got them off. At least I didn't have to get them like 3 times like Kelly did.
P.S.
I think you should do red and green, green looks like you have lettuce caught in your teeth.

I'm totally one of those people who you track on your tracker, but don't know who they are. I'm pretty much the ultimate lurker. And, I'll keep doing it because I think you're hilarious and your little Max makes me feel less bad about the naughty things my little boy does....he doesn't hold a candle to your little tornado!

I'm one of those oddities that loved having braces. Not because of the way they looked, but because of the way they felt....by some weird phenomenon, I actually enjoy mouth pain. Don't give me a tooth pick because I will gouge my gums out until they bleed....and enjoy it. Braces were the ultimate because it was contast pain....I can still feel that tight stretch when you open your mouth with a brand new set of elastics in place, and I miss it! I think I was every orthodontist's dream.

I only did the colored thing once, on the day I got my braces on. Teal, if I remember right. Didn't suit me well, so I stuck with silver after that.

OK, this is probably scaring you, and the next time I come to check in you'll have gone private. I promise, I'm pretty normal. I grew up in Price, and only normal people come out of Price, right?

Ugh...I didn't like having braces. I was 15 when I got them on and I had them for 18 months. I always played with the colors, but my favorite was a flourescent green chain. The next was hot pink. One Christmas I had all hunter green except one red "holly berry" on a side tooth on top. I hated the rubber bands. Once I was at a football game and CHS got a touchdown. It was their first and only touchdown in my entire highschool experience, so I cheered as loud as I could...with rubber bands. One of them snapped and went flying through the crowd! I started laughing, and the next one came flying out of my mouth hit someone two rows in front of me in the back of the head! Thanks for the memories, and good luck with the braces!

I am the obvious braces queen. 3 times baby! Once at 11, once at 14 and once at 22. I was famous for leaving the dentist office, going home and surgically removing a part of my braces with needle nosed pliers. They didn't have plastic back then so colored bands were kind of stupid but I think I might have tried it a few times.

I hated my braces. I was so excited to get them on because I hated my teeth, but they were pure torture. I tried all sorts of different colors and I remember coming to school my sophmore year and crying because the ortho told me I had to leave them on another month. Kim Spigarelli (do you remember her?) told me I was the biggest baby she had ever met. Oh well, I was an emotional teenager.

PS I STILL have to put my retainer in every once in awhile to push my teeth back in place. It hurts really bad, so the pain doesn't end when you get your braces off.

Oh my! Braces are the reason I don't like lettuce. I of course had the metal kind, and as a treat my Mom would take us to Artic Circle in Butte after my braces were tightened. The mixture of lettuce, sauce, and cement is still remembered after all these years. Metal braces sucked! I didn't have a nice metal retainer but a black rubber one, which is why my teeth look like they do today. Sorry you inherited my bad teeth. (Your hairy back is from dad!)

Ha Ha ... I'm one of those people that came to your page from a google search on "names to call people with braces" .... BUT .... my purpose for doing that search was to find a cut name for my black berry messenger profile lol .... I just got braces 2 and a half weeks ago and I figure since I'm stuck with them I'm gonna have as much fun as I want. I had "brace face" for the first week but now I'm "Grillz" lol .... Haven't had my first adjustment yet but I'm definately going to get some colour .... even though I'm 31 years old =D

I have clear braces on top and silver on the bottom ... I'm learning to love them but it's a process :)

Ha ha! I am one of those people that came here for the names to call people with braces. But I have a reason! I got braces today and I've already been called tons of names by my friends but they are all lame so I was looking for some more creative names... For them to call me. Lok. I like the bright green and purple combination that I have now for the bands. It looks cool :)

When I originally left a comment I seem to
have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on every time

Perhaps there is a way you are able to remove me from that service?
Cheers!
